The new village playground is the culmination of many people giving their time to plan and research the best equipment and surface solutions, and the best companies locally to work with. It is also coming into being due to the generosity of SDNP, EHDC and our District Councillors supporting the project with the necessary grant funding.
This has been a truly collaborative project, with the Immediate Past and Present Parish Council working with the Greatham Village Hall Committee, a very strong team that formed the Working Group, and the residents that provided insight and guidance at the public consultations.
The playground will cater for children from pre-school to 15+ years, and also include accessible equipment for those children with additional needs.
It is intended that the new surface will make it a truly 365 day usage space.
